Loading ...Sensio moving ahead in Home Video 3D standardization
HDTV and 3D HDTV manufacturer Hyundai IT Corp. has signed a deal with Canada’s Sensio Technologies to bring Sensio 3D technologies into its Hyundai’s line of up 3D televisions this fall.
“We have received numerous requests from broadcasters, particularly Europeans, who want access to 3D televisions that integrate our technology,” said Sensio president and CEO Nicholas Routhier.”
“By choosing Sensio, we acquire access to a robust technology, one of the largest libraries of home 3D content in the world and a team that contributes to the success of the 3D industry, thereby collaborating in the success of our own marketing initiatives,” said Hyundai CTO Heejung Kim.
According to Home Media Magazine, financial terms were not disclosed, however, the Hynudai-Sensio deal did call for for quarterly royalty payments for units sold.
Sensio 3D technology was used in the two live sporting broadcast 3D events in the United States in 2009: the BCS National Championship and the NBA All Stars game.
