While the outdoorsman would not necessarily be too thrilled about experiencing the world’s natural beauty within the confines of their own home, there are probably quite a few people would not mind cuddling up in their couch and watching a documentary about Yosemite in 3D.
According to NewsBlaze, 3D Film Factory has announced it will produce an original documentary showcasing the popular California park. All of the parks natural splendor will be captured in high-definition 3D.
Shooting of the Yosemite 3D documentary apparently involved the use of a “side-by-side, 3D camera system (3D-SS Pro Rig) and dual HD cameras.” In shooting close-up or detailed nature shots, the production team used a split-beam camera rig (3D-SB).
What are your thoughts about this? Good idea? Poor attempt to live life virtually?
